In Romania, human trafficking continues to devastate lives—women and children are exploited, and too many remain without access to care or protection. Although hundreds of victims are identified each year, only a small percentage receive the support they need, leaving many at risk of being re-trafficked.
The Open Door Foundation responds with a holistic model of care. Survivors find safety in a protected shelter where they can stay up to 18 months, with extensions available depending on their situation. During this time, they receive comprehensive support: medical and dental treatment, psychological and spiritual counseling, legal assistance, as well as education and training opportunities. Social workers walk alongside them as they gain life skills, secure jobs, and begin reintegrating into society.
The goal is clear: to restore dignity and help survivors achieve full autonomy so that they can step into a future free from exploitation.
Your gift provides safety, healing, and hope—ensuring that survivors are not left behind but are given the resources to thrive.
