Virunga Social Reintegration Project

Virunga Social Reintegration Project
Restoring hope for displaced families
Project Information

Years of conflict in Masisi and Rutshuru have forced families from their homes and taken their sense of safety, livelihoods, and community support. Many are still struggling to rebuild, facing deep poverty, trauma, and barriers to reintegration.

This project provides about 600 displaced people with tools to restart their lives. Vocational training, seed funding, and access to savings groups help families generate income and regain stability. Counseling and trauma care promote healing, while peace-building workshops strengthen reconciliation with host communities. Local churches also walk alongside families to improve access to healthcare, education, and daily essentials.

Your support makes it possible for families in Masisi and Rutshuru to return home with dignity and rebuild with hope for the future.
