In Malawi’s Phalombe Zone, farmers struggle with food insecurity because of unreliable rainfall and a lack of irrigation systems. Crops often fail, harvests are too small to sustain families, and hunger continues to impact entire communities.
This project is bringing hope through solar-powered irrigation. By harnessing the abundant sunlight in Malawi, farmers will have a reliable water supply to grow maize, vegetables, and other crops year-round. The project also provides training in sustainable farming practices, ensuring families can increase their harvests, improve nutrition, and sell surplus produce in local markets.
Your support helps provide farmers with the tools they need to overcome hunger and poverty. Together, we can create lasting change, directly empowering 200 farmers and strengthening food security for more than 1,200 people in the wider community.
