Meeting urgent needs with food and care in the Middle East

Project Information

Across the Middle East, families are living under the strain of war, displacement, and economic collapse. In Egypt, widespread inflation and the impact of conflicts in neighboring countries make it nearly impossible for many households to afford basic food. In Jordan, millions of refugees continue to arrive from across the region, overwhelming already stretched resources. Iraq and Syria remain deeply affected by conflict, regional conflict, and even natural disasters like earthquakes, leaving families without a steady income and struggling to meet daily needs for food, shelter, and medical care.

Local Nazarene churches in these countries are responding by meeting immediate needs with food baskets, clothing, diapers, heaters, and other essentials. In these countries, church leaders and volunteers are identifying the most vulnerable families—displaced people, refugees, widows, and those living in deep poverty—and providing regular distributions of food and supplies. These efforts not only sustain physical life but also bring encouragement and spiritual care, reminding families that they are not forgotten.
