For more than 30 years, the Baimbrace community in central Freetown has lived without piped water. Families—especially women and young girls—walk long distances each day to fetch water, often carrying heavy containers uphill. This daily struggle leads to chronic pain, lost study time for students, and frequent illness from unsafe or contaminated water.
Overcomers Church of the Nazarene is partnering with NCM to respond with a sustainable solution: a borehole equipped with a submersible pump, water tower, and taps that provide safe, reliable water close to home. With proper safeguards in place, the system meets government standards and is built to last for decades. Community leaders, in partnership with the church, ensure fair access and maintain the system through a small service fee that supports long-term upkeep.
Your gift helps bring clean water to more than 3,000 people in Baimbrace. Together, we reduce waterborne disease, ease the burden on women and girls, and open the door to healthier futures.
