In Chile, the Mirada de Amor center is a place of belonging where individuals with disabilities are seen, known, and supported. Through the local church, children, youth, and adults who have aged out of government programs continue to receive care, opportunity, and community. The center offers daily living skills training, cognitive development activities, and pathways toward meaningful work, helping each person grow in confidence and independence.
Throughout the week, participants take part in programs that nurture the whole person, including Christian formation, personal development, and practical life skills. On Saturdays, the center comes alive with sports, activities that strengthen autonomy, and opportunities to build mental agility, all within a caring and consistent environment.
This work reflects the church in action. Together, communities are being strengthened as individuals are equipped to live with dignity, purpose, and hope.
