In the heart of Zimbabwe, a country grappling with the devastating impacts of El Niño, the Zimbabwe Emergency Drought Response is a critical initiative aimed at alleviating the suffering faced by vulnerable communities. The government has declared a state of emergency due to severe food shortages, with women and children being among the most affected. This project seeks to provide immediate relief by distributing essential food items, thereby addressing the urgent needs of those who have been hit hardest by this crisis. Through this crucial effort, 250 direct beneficiaries will receive much-needed support, while an estimated 1,250 individuals will indirectly benefit from the lifeline provided to their communities.

This response not only serves to fulfill immediate nutritional needs but also reinforces the strength and resilience of the affected communities. Engaging local Nazarene congregations in this effort ensures that relief is delivered with compassion and understanding of the cultural context, fostering a sense of unity and hope amidst adversity.
