In Malawi, families face two interconnected challenges: limited access to clean water and persistent food insecurity. In areas like T/A Masumbakhunda, poor sanitation and lack of access to latrines continue to put health at risk, while recurring droughts make it increasingly difficult for families to grow enough food to sustain themselves.
The Chiimba Church of the Nazarene is responding with a holistic approach that addresses both urgent and long-term needs. Through a solar-powered irrigation system, the church will supply clean water for households while also supporting hygiene and sanitation practices in the wider community. At the same time, the project will establish model gardens where maize and high-value crops can flourish. These gardens will not only strengthen food security for families but will also provide vegetables for children in the local Child Development Center and feeding programs.
By equipping young people with agricultural and community development skills, this project invests in the next generation of leaders. Your giving will help provide clean water, nourish hungry families, and empower youth to create a more hopeful and sustainable future in Malawi.
