In one community in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, more than 5,000 people live without reliable access to safe water. Nearly 80% of families rely on shallow, hand-dug wells that are contaminated and unsafe. Every day, women and children walk long distances in search of water, facing risks of harassment and serious illness. Diarrhea, typhoid, and other waterborne diseases spread quickly, especially among vulnerable families already displaced by conflict.
This project provides a borehole and safe community water system that supplies clean drinking water to 1,000 people. With a sustainable system managed by the church and community, families have year-round access to safe water for drinking, cooking, and daily needs. Children stay healthier and attend school more regularly, while women spend less time walking long distances and more time caring for their families.
Your support brings life-saving water, protects health, restores dignity, and shines the hope of Christ in this community.
