In Jordan, thousands of prisoners are refugees from more than 25 countries, many far from home and without family support. Inside the prisons, they often lack even the most basic necessities—soap, clothing, and hygiene items—as well as access to legal counsel and medication. Without help, their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being suffers deeply.
Through the Jordan Evangelical Prison Ministry (JEPM), volunteers from across the evangelical churches in Jordan—including the Church of the Nazarene—bring care and compassion directly into 17 prisons. The team distributes hygiene supplies, prepaid phone cards to connect inmates with family, and Bibles in multiple languages on each visit. They also walk alongside prisoners needing legal or medical support and, when possible, assist those preparing for release with temporary housing, daily living expenses, and airfare to reunite with family.
The vision is bigger than relief: JEPM disciples inmates, prays with them, and helps them experience the transforming hope of Christ even within prison walls. By meeting urgent needs with dignity and compassion, the church becomes a living witness of God’s love to those the world often forgets.
Your gift provides practical support and spiritual encouragement for prisoners in Jordan—reminding them they are not forgotten and that God’s love reaches even the darkest places.
