Disease often goes untreated among marginalized Q’eqchi’ communities in Guatemala, where infant and maternal mortality remain alarmingly high. Families struggle to access care because of poverty, language barriers, and lack of local services.
Nazarene Compassionate Ministries is partnering with local Nazarene Churches to respond through community-based health care. Medical professionals train local leaders, who then teach families about maternal and child health, nutrition, hygiene, and safe water. They also support midwives, provide screenings, and organize women’s savings groups to strengthen household resources.
This ministry is reducing maternal and infant deaths, preventing malnutrition, and lowering cases of water-related disease. Families gain access to life-saving knowledge and resources in their own language, shared by trusted leaders within their communities.
Your support will save lives and give Q’eqchi’ families the tools to build healthier futures together.
