Communities across the Philippines continue to face the devastating effects of natural disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes, fires, and floods that leave families struggling to recover. The Philippines Disaster Response 2025 project is equipping local churches and volunteers to respond quickly and compassionately when crises strike, offering food, clean water, shelter, and trauma care for those in need.
Recently, several areas were hit by disasters, and the Church of the Nazarene mobilized to bring relief and encouragement. In Taytay, Rizal, a fire destroyed homes in the Rowenas community, and volunteers provided emergency supplies to the community, offering both practical help and hope. When Typhoon Opong devastated communities in Mindoro and Masbate, local churches distributed food packs and offered trauma counseling to more than 130 families and 50 children. In Cebu, trained volunteers led trauma debriefing sessions for children affected by a recent earthquake and are responding with food and water distributions after Typhoon Kalmaegi—demonstrating compassion and care rooted in faith.
Through partnerships with district leaders, ministry teams, and local congregations, God’s love becomes tangible in moments of great need. Your support makes this response possible, helping families rebuild, find healing, and strengthen their resilience for the future. Together, we can bring hope and restoration to communities across the Philippines.
